LOL 6-23 Landlubbers' Opportunity to Learn

Yes, that's me and my business partner in the picture below. We're selling our jewelry, handmade beauties designed around shells we've gathered from our multiple trips to the coast. Nothing new there- you've heard about that venture before. But what is new is where we chose to sell it. Not on the coast, but rather inland... In the small Texas town of Bremond... At a Polish festival. You read that right. Smack dab in the middle of a pickle race, polish sausages on a bun, and tee shirts sporting way too many z's in every word, we decided to take the beauty of the coast and market it. And you know what? We sold! Not blockbuster amounts, but enough pieces to make us realize that you don't always have to be on the coast to want a piece of the coast. Would we do it again? I don't know- I feel like I've sweated off at least 10 pounds sitting in today's hot temperatures. But I do know this... Because we landlubbed today, a few more pieces of our jewelry are reminding a few more people that you might take the ocean out of the Texas inland, but you can never take the ocean out of a sea-lover's soul. Thanks, partner (Marian), for putting up with my crazy ideas. LOL...
